The 'Hoopster Of The Week'
for this week
goes to:
one of the very first Big Black Men
(6-7, 185) to play in the NBA,
and who won a NBA
Championship title and ring
in 1955 with teammate Earl Lloyd, and
was the fastest to score a triple double
in 17 minutes,
and so much more...
1955
...Jim Tucker!
Black Basketball History Month was
founded by Ralph Winge, D.D.S.
in 2025 to acknowledge, praise,
and hold high, with cheer, the untold
numbers of International Black Men
and Women, both past and present,
that made us go, "Wow!...Whoa!...
...and...OMGosh!" in their nonstop,
valiant, and always surprising,
individual and team
efforts to put the ball through the
hoop the most, to win games and
championships!
