The 'Hoopster Of The Week'
for this week
goes to:
the Big Black Lady, 6-2, 180, who scored 105
points in one high school game, and helped
win four state titles, then at USC, she helped
to win two NCAA Titles, two tournament
MOP, 3x Naismith award winner, and even
a Broderick Cup Winner, plus she won
Olympic gold in Los Angeles in 1984 by
leading in scoring and rebounding, then
she moved on to coaching, sportscasting,
and analysis,
plus so much more...:
Black Basketball History Month was
founded by Ralph Winge, D.D.S.
in 2025 to acknowledge, praise,
and hold high, with cheer, the untold
numbers of International Black Men
and Women, both past and present,
that made us go, "Wow!...Whoa!...
...and...OMGosh!" in their nonstop,
valiant, and always surprising,
individual and team
efforts to put the ball through the
hoop the most, to win games and
championships!
If you know a Basketball Practitioner who should be included here,
please leave a note in the comment section. Thank you!
