The 'Hoopster Of The Week'

for this week

goes to:

the Big Black Man, 6-3, 200, who is

universally known 'Clown Prince' of

Basketball, and toured internationally

for Goodwill throughout sports

entertainment, and, described as a

'true national treasure, by Michael Jordan,

he was praised by Wilt Chamberlain and others,

also he played for the Harlem Globetrotters,

then started another fun team called the

'Bucketeers,' then he played with the

'Shooting Stars,' then with his team,

'Meadowlark Lemon's Harlem All Stars,'

then he returned to the Globetrotters,

and after a while he retired, he then

became a Hall of Famer in 2003, but

more importantly, he became an ordained

minister in 1986 and started Meadowlark

Lemon Ministries in 1994,

Black Basketball History Month was

founded by Ralph Winge, D.D.S.

in 2025 to acknowledge, praise,

and hold high, with cheer, the untold

numbers of International Black Men

and Women, both past and present,

that made us go, "Wow!...Whoa!...

...and...OMGosh!" in their nonstop,

valiant, and always surprising,

individual and team

efforts to put the ball through the

hoop the most, to win games and

championships!
