The 'Hoopster Of The Week'
for this week
goes to:
the Big Black Man, 6-8, 240 pound center who
rose to become the first Big Black General
Manager in the NBA with the Bucks in 1972
after an eleven-year playing career, and
he was a 5x All-Star Gamer, plus he
won a NBA Championship and Ring with
Boston in 1968 as a player and repeated
that as an executive in 2019, plus twice he
was voted NBA Executive of the Year in
1992 and 1998, and in 1999 he was
inducted into the Naismith HOF, and his
nickname was 'The Wall' because he did the
impenetrable pick and roll a lot with teammate
Oscar Robertson,
and so much more...

Black Basketball History Month,
celebrated in October each year, was
founded by Ralph C. Winge, D.D.S.
in 2025 to acknowledge, praise,
and hold high, with cheer, the untold
numbers of International Black Men
and Women, both past and present,
that made us go, "Wow!...Whoa!...
...and...OMGosh!" in their nonstop,
valiant, and always surprising,
individual and team
efforts to put the ball through the
hoop the most, to win games and
championships!
